Gisela 3 is the most dwarfing of the Gisela series, approx 2-2.5m tall. Due to its very dwarfng nature it is recommended for planting only in deep, fertile soils. Trees are free of suckers and produce wide branch angles. Trees should be supported. Gisela 3 is recommended for very high-density sweet cherry plantings. Gisela 3 is particularly well adapted to covered orchards.
