A new apricot rootstock slightly less vigorous than St Julien A. Better compatibility with apricots than alternative rootstocks currently in use. Grows to 2.7-3.3m

This was selected in 1978 from a mirobalan x apricot seedling that was open pollinated. It was studied under code name of Cs 2

Typically Apricor produced 24 kg/tree yield for 'Sirena' apricot variety, compared with only 14.7 kg/tree on St Julien A rootstock.

Apricor is the first vegetative rootstocks for apricot registered in 2006 in Romania.

This rootstock is patented and may not be reproduced without permission of the patent holder.
