Very cold hardy rootstock, more ideal for northern areas. Slightly more dwarfing than M9.
Also known as Budagovsky 9 (B.9 or Bud9). Resulted from a cross of M.8 x 'Red Standard' (Krasnij Standard) from Russia. B9 has been tested widely and is used commercially in the US.
Very cold hardy rootstock, more ideal for northern areas. Slightly more dwarfing than M9 and comes into fruiting very early.
Requires support by staking. Reported to be resistant to collar rot, powdery mildew and apple scab. Becomes more resistant to fire blight as the tree ages.
